ARTISAN PROJECT FACILITATORS
(contract appointment)

Facilitators for the following artisanship and skills courses are needed:

  • Civil Engineering (Plumbing, Bricklaying, Carpentry)
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Fitting
  • Boiler making
  • Welding

REMUNERATION
R185 619-00 per annum

LOCATION
Matlosana Campus, Ellaton, Klerksdorp, 2571

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a qualified artisan in the relevant subject field
  • A relevant teaching qualification or an ETDP facilitation certificate
  • Being a registered assessor will be an advantage
  • Being a registered moderator will be an added advantage
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
  • Must be available to work flexi hours including weekends
  • First Aid level 1 or 2 certificate will be an added advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMENDED COMPETENCIES

  • Have a minimum experience of at least three years in the artisan field
  • Having worked in an education environment (College, ABET, University) will be an added advantage
  • Be able to work independently and meet time frames
  • Computer Literacy will be an added advantage
  • Strong assessment and  moderation skills
  • Be able to work under pressure

 DUTIES

  • Facilitate learners in relevant modules in order to undergo a Trade Test
  • Assess both theoretical and practical components of the course
  • Administer and record all learning according to SETA requirements
  • Report directly to the HOD

REMUNERATION
R5.50 per credit

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum National  NQF Level 4 Early Childhood Development (ECD)  Qualification OR relevant Qualification
  • An  assessor Statement of Results
  • Registered as an assessor with relevant SETA
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMENDED COMPETENCIES

  • Have a minimum experience of at least three years in assessment  field
  • Be able to work independently and meet time frames
  • Computer Literacy will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be able to work under pressure

 DUTIES

  • An Assessor will assess all outcomes of the Unit Standard contained in the Portfolios of Evidence in ECD Level 4 ID Number 58761
  • An Assessor will be working with the facilitator and report to the Project Manager
  • Assessment will take place in the workplace of learners
  • The incumbent may be expected to work an extra day during Verification as the SETA might need some clarifications.

R5.50 per credit

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum National  NQF L 5 Early Childhood Development
  • Past experience as a primary school teacher
  • Must be available to work during weekends for 5 weeks
  • An  assessor Statement of Results
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMENDED COMPETENCIES

  • Have a minimum experience of at least three years in assessment  field
  • Be able to work independently and meet time frames
  • Computer Literacy will be an added advantage
  • Strong moderation skills
  • Be able to work under pressure

 DUTIES

  • An Assessor will assess all outcomes of the selected Unit Standards monitored at the workplace, ECD Level 5 ID Number 23118.
  • An Assessor will be working Mondays to Thursdays and reporting to the respective Leaderships Manager on Fridays of all the allocated weeks.
  • Assessment will take place in the schools where learners are placed to conduct the 70% of the practical as required by the qualification.
  • The incumbent ma ybe expected to work an extra day during Verification as the SETA might need some clarifications.

DETAILS OF SITES OF OPERATION

ECD LEVEL 5

1. Potchefstroom and the surrounding locations including Ventersdorp and the      neighbouring farms, 28 candidates to assess.
2. Wolmaransstad, Makwassie, Leeudoringstad, Ottosdal etc, 17 candidates.

3. Schweizer Reneke, 28 candidates

4. Vryburg 18 candidates and Ganyesa, 12 candidates

5. Taung Site 1 and Site 2, 43 learners placed around the whole of Greater Taung
Municipality.
