What is Wholesale and Retail Operations?
This learnership gives you a start in the retail industry, learning how a store works while you gain experience in one.
What you'll learn
- Customer service
- Operating a till and handling cash
- Receiving, packing and controlling stock
- Health, safety and security in a store
A learnership combines theory at the college with practical work in a workplace. Learnerships run as and when they are available and funded by a SETA, and last 6 or 12 months depending on the credits of the qualification. A certificate is awarded when you complete the theory and practical work successfully.

When you complete Wholesale and Retail Operations, you receive a National Certificate at NQF Level 2.

You can apply from Grade 12 or NQF Level 4, or any of the other options below.
Minimum requirement: any ONE of the following, or a higher qualification.
